In the heart of the Corbières region, within the medieval walls of the village of Lagrasse, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, just 400 metres on foot from Sainte-Marie Abbey, Les Gîtes du Tabellion offers three luxury accommodations classified as *** furnished tourist accommodation.
Housed in an old building dating back to the 13th century (see History tab), completely renovated with authenticity in mind, they are harmoniously arranged around a tree-lined garden (with swimming pool) and an enclosed courtyard, with only the rocky ridges of the neighbouring hills visible from the outside.
Within our lovingly renovated medieval house we unveiled many historic secrets associated with the Cathars, such as arches, sculptures and 13th century historic paintings that we have loaned to the Batiment de France and are visible in La Maison du Patrimoine (village museum).
Our medieval walled garden offers the opportunity to sit beneath the 13th century arch or enjoy a chilled glass of wine at the one ton table under the Cathar Cross or cool off in the solar heated swimming pool with decked area – a little piece of paradise can be found.
